I know that the selection will be made based on the individual performance for the year. But if only the selection committee also considered the personal side of an athlete, they would be hard pressed not to choose this young man. He is not only a great kid, but also a great friend to his teammates and a team leader. He led the team devotional the night before the BOTR and the players and coaches were highly impressed as a result. Who knows if that led to victory, but one can only think--maybe. He is also, in the midst of all this, a good student!
