Not exactly sure why seosu ECU and swosu struggle in gac. My long-term money is on ok bapt becoming the ok power.

Dang, it looks like OKBU is spending some money! SAU looks to be getting a good return in their investment per dollar they are spending overall.

On a chart like this, all the private schools have higher costs. There is no state aid, and scholarships are funded through the endowment and fundraising. In our case, OKBU has 550 student-athletes in 22 sports. We sponsor more sports than any other GAC school. It's a far cry from my days as a student there in the 80's, when we ran an NAIA program with 7 sports and no football.

We're not rolling in money by any stretch of the imagination. But, investment in athletics has helped keep our enrollment stable.

Sounds good to me! Like to see two SBC Colleges in the GAC as well! I couldn't afford to go to one, but like what they are doing!

It makes sense that Student Aid for the private schools is much higher. The lowest aid for the privates is OBU at 1,863,770 while the highest aid for the publics is SOSU at 1,166,945; about a 700,000 dollar difference. You might be able to compare Recruiting Expenses and how it relates to success on the field.

I went to OKBU, I have a son there now, and many of my friends have kids there. Likewise, I have several friends who sent their kids to Ouachita. I'd like to be able to beat them on the football field one day. :-)

Your right, I didn't even think about a ratio of Income - Expenses. I would think logically the more expenses you would have, the more income you probably have coming it. Still, with that thought, SAU is getting a pretty good return overall in Athletics. I think the only sport SAU is still not competitive in is Women's Basketball.

Correct. The site this table comes from lists only scholarship expenses and recruiting expenses in relation to T9 at all colleges. They do not have any information on any type of income sources including donations. Again, they only track college expenditures and opportunities for women as compared to men.

Here is the full sortable Google spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...#gid=137472081

I'd suspect some of that money UAPB gave to Langston came from their money game at TCU last season.

Hopefully a college 8-man league will be formed so UCO can win a few games. Not doing so well in the MIAA.
Ironically I posted this earlier today in a discussion about 6, 8 and 9 man football. I think that MN, ND and SD are the only states with 9 man.

                                The trickle down is incredible.

TCU gets paid as a Big 12 member from the Big 12 TV contract and the College Football Playoff. TCU plays a money game against UAPB. UAPB plays a money game against Langston.

It's wonky, but a lot of people get paid from the current structure of college football.
