I would love to see the metrics on this decision . . .

I think we all do. I didn't know where H will fall. The metrics are flawed anyway. Add in your silo scheduling and it'll be hard to jump teams with similar records. We know that all wins aren't equal.. nor are losses (for SOS as well as overall record)

Obviously I don’t have a dog in this fight but I do understand that the “polls” we look at don’t have anything to do with the committee and NCAA metrics.
One of the key metrics I believe they go by is the KPI which can be found at the link below. And that metric has yall 3rd.

Kutz doesn’t play a ranked team until this week, and beat a team that was 24th if I’m correct, Harding has knocked off 2 Top 10’s (and an 11) 3 weeks in a row. Today’s game was closer than it truly was, I was able to make it down and the officiating genuinely was changing the game. Harding DL being pretty much tackled and no flags but a receiver just blocking downfield took away a Jay TD in the 3rd if I remember correctly. Just a disservice to those athletes and coaches who have done everything right to get snubbed and have to go half way across the county to beat on Kutztown. Those seniors should’ve had one more game in Searcy! Just an embarrassment

I promise the locker room is buzzing about being able to hop on a flight and go play in someone else’s backyard. Always nice to throw a little disrespect to fuel the fires this late in the season too! Fun week ahead!

Thanks for the link. I had it, but I didn't think they updated it.

I sympathize with your frustration. Especially as a fan. But I suspect that the team could care less.. or actually benefits from it. They aren't road weary since they've been at home for a bit. Add in a chip on the shoulder and go get that W. Personally I abhor the metrics. Use them as a tool, but they rarely tell the whole story. Point is, not all PIs and SOS's aren't alike. Still, silo scheduling doesn't help either.

Agree. Don’t think the travel will make any difference in the outcome. I’m just selfishly pissrd because I can’t go.

Obviously I’m disappointed with not having another home game, but my kids are more disappointed they’ve had their last Saturday afternoon running around with their friends at the football field.

I am scratching my head because I kinda thought the whole point of reseeding was to help control for the disparity in the super regions. I guess having Harding and Ferris on opposite sides is all that matters.

Is that a thing or are you speculating?

If you look at the 2024 metrics, Wingate is the KPI leader ahead of Ferris, Grand Valley, Valdosta and Kutz. Not sure if that is a good representation of defining the strongest team.
