  • East Central Locker Room

Honestly just sharing because I'm proud! Still lots to be done facility wise at ECU, but this is huge. There may not be a nicer D2 locker room in the country. Would be interested to know if there is! Hope the link works, it's from the ECU athletics Facebook.

Looks really good, should be a good recruiting tool against the other Oklahoma schools.

Man, that looks awesome. Especially for the D2 level. It should be a big plus for the program.

Yeah that is awesome. Something like this goes a long way sometimes if a recruit is borderline on their final decisions. Ive seen other D2 schools where their locker room and weight rooms are stuck in 1985.

Very nice facility. Hadn’t been to the stadium there in quite a few years but see they have made a lot of improvements there also.

Weight room is great. Definitely not "fancy", but lots of room and very practical. Stadium is meh... new video board and entrance with bathrooms, concession, spirit store is very nice, but the stadium itself is lacking. I believe the visitor side is a state landmark and cannot be touched.

Please provide more details about the visitor side of the stadium being a state landmark. Very interested to know more behind the landmark designation.

It's a WPA built stadium between 1936-1941. It's in the Oklahoma Landmarks inventory of the State Historic Preservation office ran by the Oklahoma Historic Society. That's about all I know besides the fact that it's super old and has barely been touched.

Historical renovations or upgrades are a special animal. If you can get past the committees and lawyers, Construction costs are unbelievably expensive. (Like 10 to 30 times more expensive)

ECU is really making the rounds on Instagram. This video is great showing the locker details with stuff most of us would have never thought about. Did Todd Graham contribute to this.

I would assume a lot of the money for this project came from the Chickasaw Tribe. I've said for a while we just need to secure the bag and rename the school Chickasaw State.

Yeah they really do look nice. Side note, do people in Oklahoma refer to it as "Easy Credit University"? I saw someone in the Instagram comments refer to it as that.

Nice! Hope it sparks an arms race in the GAC.
