I know it’s talking season. However I ran across this in my scrolling through various social media. There’s 2 GAC schools on this list. My question is where’s the former national champs? Do you guys not show up till playoff time? This isn’t even a top 25 but a top 50! Let me know in the replies of comment section.

What has happened at Tech? We had the top average in the GAC for several years when the conference began. Going back to my time at Tech, the place was always packed despite how bad we were in the 80s. There are some other things happening at games I'm not happy about either. Tech has a good atmosphere but it could be a lot better.

Bisons averaged 2,840 for their five regular season home games. Looks like you must average at least 3,200 per game to get in Flo Sports Top 50. Bisons only averaged 2,708 for their five regular home PO games. I was at all of those games. I thought it would have been higher.

A school with 1200 students averaging 2500 per game may be more impressive than a school of 5000 who averages 4000 per game. A stadium that holds 3k selling sro every game may be more impressive than a stadium that holds 8k but only averages 5k.

Check that. I just looked up last year’s attendance to the Natty. The NCAA reports it to be 10,500. I think the 2023 game was over 13,000. I’m not sure how many seats each year were filled with Harding fans and many were filled with FSU and CSM. I would guess the majority were Harding fans each year.

Yeah, that one was that game in KC Vs NW since it's a different field. At least I think that's what it was.

8-14 at home over a 4 year span didn't help matters. While also not beating a single Arkansas school in that time. Just a rough stretch, the community still does a good job of showing up, but student body wants to see wins. They'd also rather watch the hogs on TV..

I'd second the curiosity. I was at the HU game and the only thing that sticks out to me was an event where y'all had a lot of high school marching band members there during the tailgate and helping with the halftime show. Seemed like a pretty cool deal for those kids.

Bad administration across the board. Enrollment has gone down in recent years. To be fair, people just don't go to as many in person sporting events for things like D2 and D3 compared to 20 years ago (general trend). That's why new stadiums focus on luxury clients.

We are making the investment to compete with OBU and Harding for getting recruits. Hope to get the numbers up and better recruits.

The four year span from 2022-25, Tech is 12-10 at home and has 3 wins vs Arkie schools. And &%$#@ the pigs. In the same four years, they are 18-30 regular season with zero winning seasons. Lucky bowl wins is the only reason they had two 7-win seasons.

In the 80s, Tech had 3,000-3,500 students. I never saw anything close to a winning season under Steelman, then Stephens got us 3 6-win seasons. Yet the place was always full. I get that there are more activities available today than 40 years ago but we had half or less the number of students than now.

I miss seeing the influx of visiting fans and the old ATU-HSU battle of the bands. Many times the band comes on at halftime and makes some noise for about 3 minutes then runs off the field without playing the fight song. When's the last time the band traveled to a conference game, at least an in-state game.

OK, just a grumpy old man griping about how things are not as good as they used to be. There was one thing Tech did that unashamedly brought me to tears and that was the return of the Helmet Car. I am very excited for the proposed investment. It looks awesome.

Can you post a photo or two of the Helmet Car? I did not see that when I attended a game at ATU many years ago (I too am an "old man") and don't think I have seen it when watching Harding-Tech games on the computer/TV.
