I would substitute Davenport for Northwood and your prediction seems realistic even though it was a tongue in cheek comment.

Yeah - I just don't think anyone wants to see Harding anytime soon.... Unless they are the first team you play at start of season with a month to prepare...

GV will be fine...when you start having some 2-9 seasons...then panic..

I agree with what you have said, I would also ask the question does Matt Mitchell energize the students, football alums, other alums and donors to the school? Maybe we are taking our sports to seriously, but we will continue to perform at the same level we have in the past 9 years as long as Matt is the HC. Makes planning for the holidays easier though because we rarely play after Thanksgiving. Now that TA is not leaving for Central Michigan I can hardly wait for the 2019 schedule to come out and save the date for the Ferris game. Oh by the way I like your user name.

Both true statements. The second is a bit hyperbolic, but I agree with the premise. What is the point of going 10-1 if you take home zero trophies? We once again didn't win the conference, once again didn't beat our rival, once again didn't take home a regional championship trophy, and once again didn't take home a national championship or runner-up trophy. A 10-1 season that resulted in once again zero substance. I equate that to Matthew Stafford. Inflated numbers but ultimately amounts to nothing. The ultimate goal of this program on the field should always be to win championships. We consistently fail to reach that goal. I have no reason to believe we will suddenly stumble into accomplishing that in 2019.
