Big Rapids, Mich. - A nation-leading trio of Ferris State University football student-athletes have been named to the 2018 Associated Press Division II All-America First Team as the Bulldogs recorded the most honorees in the country for the second consecutive year.
Ferris State junior quarterback Jayru Campbell (Detroit/Cass Tech) headlined the Associated Press D2 All-America First Team with senior offensive tackle Devon Johnson (Aurora, Ill.) and junior defensive back Delon Stephenson (Sayreville, NJ) both also garnering first team All-America recognition.
The Associated Press Division II All-America Team replaced the former AP Little All-America Team and recognizes the nation's top performers in Division II football. The team was selected by a panel of sports information directors from around the country.
Ferris State was the only school in the entire country to have three individuals recognized. Previously, all three were also named Wednesday to the 2018 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-America First Team as well.
