As I predicted, GV DL Josh Williams entered the portal as well.

I admit, the Harding model is a bit of a mystery. But I think there is more there then what we see on the surface. Not implying cheating, but more resources are there than what we see. A D2 program MIGHT find a way to keep one guy.. but even then it's doubtful I don't have the solution. But it doesn't mean I can support the current system.
Harding does lose guys to the portal… I think it’s almost always on the defensive side. The offensive guys are usually guys that no one wanted anyways, they don’t have the measurable to get looks but play well in their system.

as for the standouts that stay, I believe its because the coaches talk a lot more about being a good father and husband than X and O’s. A lot of young men will actually stick around a program who mentors them and builds a personal connection. I can tell you that I wouldn’t be a father and husband right now if it weren’t for getting an opportunity there. Just my 2 cents.

the real chest clinching reality is that universities at all levels aren’t recruiting as many high school kids. They hit the transfer portal to get guys and JUCO’s don’t take time from eligibility.

On paper yes, but Tony calls and runs the offense himself. I thought we were heading in teh right direction under Shoemaker this year other than the O line which I am sure will be fixed next year. Everyone always wants the new guys. Guess we will see how that works out.

Not surprising but the mass exodus has started at SV. Highlighted by top 2 QBs and a number of defensive starters. McKenzie already has some D1 G5 offers.

Thanks. I don’t see Postma being the next man at SVSU then. Hard to believe they fire Brady without having someone in line. The new AD at SVSU has a checkered past himself so who knows what he is up to. He wanted his own guy so he better pick a good one as Brady wasn’t horrible.

Just curious cause if it just happened you would think he is coming home to SVSU. If that is the case then Brady got fired on a pure political move as he just beat GV and seemed to have the program on an upward trend.
