The way I look at it the upcoming season will be a "throwaway" season. It doesn't matter who they hire or who they recruit it will be a losing season, maybe even another 0-11 affair. After the season is over I hope (and pray) that the AD does what she should have done last year and gets rid of Wheatley for good. After that I hope she and whoever will be advising her makes a good choice on a new head coach. That's all we can hope for at this point. Nothing to look forward to this season except the exit of Wheatley after it's all over and even that isn't guaranteed.

Nothing reported on WSU Athletics, but there was an OC hire made last week after signing day. Maybe some of our NSIC friends know of this guy? Terrence Isaac

Are you hearing anything about filling open coaching slots? I wonder who's running things now.

At this point, Wayne should can everyone from the AD on down.

I guess if you have 80 players returning, there's not much room for new players. However, given that you just went winless, I would think you don't really want 80 returners.....
Most locker rooms are 120-130 players at D2 now. I will say it would be hard to recruit with no assistant coaches also. What is going on at Wayne? Just no effort at all it appears. Wallace is a better AD that this I thought.

Three H.S. signees for Wayne?!?, five in total. I don’t think I have ever heard of class that small, not even close to that. Guess that’s what happens when you are a HC who works the bare minimum and on top of that fire pretty much the entire staff. Really leaving the cupboard bare for the new HC in ‘27. Wonder if the lack of recruiting could be a reason to fire for cause?

I was concerned by this 24/7 list, thought GV lost a bunch of recruits. But, there are more commitments than that site lists. It needs to catch up to yesterday's commitments.

On offensive coaching changes - good! GV needed an offensive reset. All gears have not been on the same page and the players have felt it. I see they still have posted jobs for WR and RB/GM coaches. I assume Wooster will coach OL himself.

    Here's the signing day recap:

With the resignation of Bobby Hauck at Montana and promotion of WR Coach Kennedy under a one year deal, rumours swirling in Missoula are that Tony Annese will be in the mix for that position.
