  • Wt v. William & Jewell

I know nothing about William & Jewell. What can we expect to see? What kind of offense? Run or Pass heavy?
Is the defense 4-3 or 3-4? Any information would be helpful?

Balanced offense. A lot of stuff out of pro sets. Typical run to set up the pass. QB is a veteran. Not the most accurate, but he is mobile and can make plays outside of the pocket. They have a new transfer WR that seems to add a little more vertical dynamic to their game. Freshman running back had a solid game last week too.

Defensively, they have a very good cornerback in Donte' Colum. Probably the best in the GLVC. A couple of solid linebackers, and a couple of above average DL, but they aren't very deep.

They are pretty young with only 9 seniors on the team.

They surprised last week with a win over a senior laden SBU team, but that may have been a result of SBU being a bit of a mess right now in terms of self-destruction. Penalties, miscues, and missed opportunities doomed them from te begining. If you look at the Box score, it should't have been a 20 point win for WJC.

That being said, I think WT handles them fairly comfortably. Probably a couple scores.
    Cool Story Bro

Thanks for the update. Wt is a defense-first team. Azusa Pacific rushed the ball 31x for 65 yards. They also lost 41 yards rushing for an average of 0.8 yards per rush. Wt rushed for 200 yards and passed for 192 yards. The offense is a fast pace no-huddle with 3 WR to the wide side of the field. Our QB has an accurate arm but has trouble going deep. He is a D1 transfer from Texas Tech, his first year here. Offense line has good size, about 310 LB's across the front. A lot of depth at RB. Prince Ugwu leads the way last week with an average of 7.8 per carry. (had 9 carries) Should be a good game. Buffs by 21
