Kinda like SBU, hard to find many bright spots as a team for WJC in 2018. Individually however, they did have some nice performers, many of which will return for 2019.

I think Cardinals fans have a reason to be optimistic in 2019 because of their defense. They certainly had some stinkers of games last year and ended up giving an average of 37 points per game, but the potential showed itself at times during the season. Holding the then #1 team in the nation, TAMC to 5 points under their average and only a field goal after halftime is nothing to sneeze at! They also have 5 all conference players coming back, with 2 of them being on the defensive line.

Offensively, the early signing of Newman could add some depth and competition at the QB position to help boost production. Kirby Grigsby also has the potential to fill Bulla Graft's shoes as an offensive playmaker. His top end speed could actually open up a lot of opportunities for this offense.

WJC will have a lot of experience returning. 26 juniors set to return for their senior year, with 5 of them earning all conference honors could be a recipe for a nice bounce back year.

Jewell landed a commit from Zachary Dube. QB out of Colorado.

      6'0", 180 lbs.

Smaller framed QB, but throws a pretty nice deep ball. As you would expect, runs a lot of read option and looks to have adequate speed and athleticism to be effective.

I'd imagine he would be a red shirt and develop type of player.
