I think the move makes sense if they are committed to D2. Seems more regionalized for them. What options are there for replacing them in the conference?

If I were the GLVC, I would take a good, long look at Kentucky Wesleyan, and then at some NAIA options like Missouri Baptist.Originally posted by Peacockfan View PostI think the move makes sense if they are committed to D2. Wesleyan left before. Not sure they take them back. Heck, I am not sure how long Wesleyan will be around. They have dismal enrollment numbers.Originally posted by Uindy18 View Post

Not a lot of options unless a D3 or NAIA wants to move up. Take N'Eastern from the MIAA; they aren't wanted back in football.Originally posted by Peacockfan View PostI think the move makes sense if they are committed to D2. Seems more regionalized for them. Northeastern State would seem to be a logical choice, but is anyone in Tahlequah really looking forward to those road trips to Joliet to face Lewis or to Springfield to face UIS?Originally posted by Try II View Post

GLVC will have 14 basketball members after Indy leaves to what about a football-only spot for NSU? Solves problems for both and the travel wouldn't be too bad for the RedmenOriginally posted by ctrabs74 View Post

I tend to agree that it makes a lot of sense for at least football. Nsu has good relationships with several of glvc schools in Missouri. Msst, Lincoln. William Jewell, mckendree have all played here in last few years. Its under a five hour bus trip to. Msst, SW Baptist Rock Hurst,William Jewell. Compared to a independent schedule upper Iowa Quincy and Lewis are easy trips and not more than some of our miaa trips.Originally posted by Try II View Post

If not the glvc has 7 conf and has to find four non conference. Add nsu and it's easier.
But we have or are adding sportd to meet requirements of glvc so who knows
I could see lewis bail as well and join gliac
