Week 1

Only two countable games on Thursday night -- Quincy at Concordia-St. Paul and McKendree at Saginaw Valley. Neither Southwest Baptist (hosting William Woods) or Indianapolis (hosting Marian) will have their games count towards the postseason consideration.

On Saturday, three GLVC teams play in NCAA-countable games -- William Jewell hosting Fort Lewis; Upper Iowa hosting Jamestown; Truman hosting Washburn. Neither Missouri S&T (hosting something called a Westgate Christian) or Lincoln (hosting Central Methodist) get their results counted beyond the GLVC overall standings and their own pats on the back.

UIU handles Jamestown 30-13. Good start for Peacocks. Only 5 starters returned and alot of new faces and some freshman in today. Great to get that first game underneath us!

Obviously the biggest/worst news of yesterday came from Liberty with the tragic death of WJC RB MicahJo Barnett.

Thoughts go out to the entire WJC football program, campus, and the Barnett family.
