Steve Worthing has decided to retire. He's had a history of concussions, so you can't blame him for looking out for his health. Redshirt junior Alex McGinnis, redshirt freshman Carson Walters and junior Cody Summers will now battle it out for the starting spot in the fall.

Yeah ever since Spitzelberger it seems that way. Hope the best for Worthing, applaud him for making the right decision. Hope for good health for him in the future. I'm interested to see this Summers and how he does. Other wise I expect McGinnis to start purely because of experience.

2/3 are Washburn rejects. McGinnis would have probably went to play a year with his brother but they didn't even want him out of high school. Summers by all accounts is a good athlete but is no qb.
