UNK was the bigger upset IMO.
MoWo is capable of beating anyone or losing to anyone.

In my mind MWSU over FHSU was far more surprising and it has seemed UNK/UCO have had some competitive game as of late and I have never felt that the UCO sleeping giant has awoken yet in the MIAA.

Agree with you there. I had a bad feeling about the FHSU game all week.

I agree UNK has not shown the ability to win much over the last few years, this week will be interesting

Re: Which upset was more surprising and why?

Prior to the game Jacob Mezera had thrown for 44 touchdowns to 12 interceptions in 24 games started dating back to the start of 2016. He throws 1 INT per 2 games; he'd only thrown 2 INTs in a single game once versus Emporia St. in 2016. For him to throw 3 in one game all of them in the red zone; makes this the upset of the week.

Based on preseason expectations Western was more surprising. After week one is taken into account, Kearney was more surprising.

Add in the fact that Mowest had two of the three MIAA players of the week, Dandridge and Miles.
