  • Veteran team or young team?

    Is your team veteran, young, or somewhere in the middle?

    Here is the break down for Central Missouri's game one starters.

    Offense:
    Seniors - 1
    Juniors - 6
    Soph - 2
    Fresh - 2

    Defense:
    Seniors - 1
    Juniors - 5
    Soph - 5
    Fresh - 0

    Offense
    Sr=3
    Jr=4
    Soph=4
    FR=0

    Defense
    Sr=5
    Jr=5
    Soph=1
    Fr=0

    11 starters total played a ton last season, so while Pitt is experienced, there's not quite as much experience as it looks like. There are a decent amount of transfers and unproven upper classman who are program guys in the mix.

      Fr=0

      Defense
      Sr=4
      Jr=4
      Soph=3

      For ESU three of the five offensive seniors are on the line with a running back and a tight end

        This isn't really accurate, but it's more to blame on the Pitt State SID than on PP, as our games notes and roster are so riddled with errors it's hard to tell.

        Defense is:
        Sr=7
        Jr=3
        Soph=1
        Fr=0

        Hornback and Thomas are listed as juniors in the games notes. Both are seniors.

        Offense is:
        Sr=5
        Jr=4
        Soph=1
        FR=1

        West and Baughman are seniors, Clemons is a junior, Harris (So) wasn't a starter (Winn (Fr) was, we didn't start 3 WRs).

        I would say Pitt State, especially on the defensive side of the ball, is a very veteran team. 4 of those 7 defensive seniors saw significant playing time all the way back as freshmen (Thomas, Hornback, Sanders and Bingaman). Offense seems less veteran, but mainly because the QB is a So who was a defensive player the past two years and the (so far) lead backup QB is a freshman.

          OL is pretty experienced, though.

          Although some of that goes out the window with the brand new ancient offense.
