If the investigation says he's guilty of wrong doing, then of course he should suffer the appropirate consequenses.

You don't think there's been an investigation? You don't think one's still going on? You don't think Dr. Marble checked Simms out?

My point is that none of you jackwads know what happened, yet here you are saying he spead false information. Knowing what I know about Marble, (best President in Mssu history - great president and a great man) I don't think he would have hired Simms if there were any issues. He's far too above-board.

I am admittedly unsure of the legal circumstance of withholding water during conditioning and practice, but am fully aware of the stupidity of it. None of those allegations were reported at the time of the death.

Also, no one has seemingly reported that they asked the ER doctor if he actually told the coach that it was unrelated.

I don't know the story - neither do you. THAT'S my point, my dense friend.

I would have thought he might have shared that information with you at some point. He sure didn't have any issues commenting that it was a blood clot to The Eagle after the kids death. This was the second kid that died under his watch in 14 months having lost a kid in May of 2017.

I was impressed how he worked the room on his introduction, heck he shook my hand. Even in a phone conversation, his passion seemed genuine. But is winning more important than these kids lives.

Yeah the school had told the parents there would be a campus police investigation, but the article makes it sound like that wasn't even done, at least not in an official capacity.

I mixed up the articles. There was an investigation that was eventually done, but only internally, and no evidence or results of that investigation were made available.

My point is that when a life is lost, there should be an external investigation. The internal kind starts and ends with a conflict of interests for everyone, especially your buddy the coach. It is much more likely that the school throws him under the bus than admits fault on their part.

I wonder if law enforcement has looked into it at all?

Not saying there would be anything incriminating. But it is wild that surveillance footage the night of an on campus death woulsnt be pulled and archived. If unintentional then that is a pretty careless policy to overwrite footage after only two weeks.

Why wouldn't they have pulled them? Not to find someone guilty, but to view and watch his last moments. Unless mistakes were made or there was something on the video that a small few will have to live with. Maybe Sims was diligent and accidents happen, but that mom deserves some answers.
