Big difference between this year's team and that 2-9 team in 2009. That year the Hornets were really only in one game they lost (24-21 loss to UCM), all the other MIAA losses were by at least 20 points.
This year ESU has been tied or led in the fourth quarter of four of the five losses. Hornets could very easily win three of the last four games and finish 5-6 and be set to bring back nine starters on offense and seven on defense for next year. That's similar to 2011 when ESU started out 2-5 and then won the next three before falling to NWMSU in the final game. The next year with a lot of guys coming back the Hornets went 10-2.
