I have to think NWMSU would get in ahead of MWSU and FHSU in that scenario, being the only one with a win over UCM.

I don't see 3 10-1 GAC teams getting in without a 2nd place conference team having 3 losses. How you differentiate should they all have 1 loss v. each other after a Silo schedule? Good luck with that. Numerically all 3 will be in front of a 2 loss MIAA team though as all teams in both conferences have a .500 SOS.
Should 3 10-1 GAC teams get in and leave the MIAA with 1 rep., well you all are going to get your wish. Noncons will start as soon as possible for the conference. They have already been discussing. Just need a valid reason to go forward. Though there is no guarantee that a potential SOS boost in the future would be able to offset the extra loss.

Why would UCM be out with two losses if you switched out the team names?
These are the likely results with the UCM/NW results as you described (region records):
Ferris 10-0
Central 11-0
Ouachita 10-1
Harding 10-1
Henderson 10-1
Indianapolis 9-1
Grand Valley 7-2
Northwest 9-2
Western 9-2

If you look at that list, these teams would be in for sure over NW (no particular order):
1. Ferris 2. Central 3. Ouachita 4. Harding 5. Henderson 6. Indianapolis
So it's down to three teams for the last spot...
GVSU/NW/Western
Which means that it would be down to GV/NW for the last spot because NW would have the H2H over Western.
