Those unc teams during their run were some of the best I've ever seen. It's baffling how terrible they are now.

I would like to thank Lindenwood for allowing us to set new rushing and TD records in the playoffs. We got to the edge anytime we wanted and really didn't have a need to throw the ball today. The defense continues to improve and impress. I'm hopeful the passing game will continue to do enough.

Yes, personal foul on the sack as the tackle was below the knees. I have seen the call in the NFL where they protect the QB, but never in D2. Maybe one of the posters who knows the rule book can comment?

                          Looked it up:

But otherwise, it's a foul to go low on a QB who isn't running. The NCAA says: When an offensive player is in a passing posture with one or both feet on the ground, no defensive player rushing unabated shall hit him forcibly at the knee area or below.

I don't believe he was in a passing posture. I thought he saw the defender coming and started to back peddle a step or two before the hit...could be wrong, but that's the way I remember it.

LU run defense = horrible, but in Brister could have time to throw and then run if needed, it would have been a shootout. I am thinking that later on in the year when Pitt gave up they could have.

He was back to pass, but he saw the sack coming and had taken a couple of steps to try and avoid it.
