  • MWSU helmets

A private donation has made possible the use of safer helmets by Griffon football. Missouri Western will be the largest D2 partner of VICIS ZERO1 helmets.

Man, that's great. I hope more colleges can find the funds to provide the safest helmets available. Maybe someday this quality of helmet will find its way into the high school ranks.

Maryville Mo is getting them... 7th-12th Grade. Thanks to the MHS Boosters, private donations, and Nodaway Valley Bank....

Is Vicis a new equipment manufacturer? Ridell and Schutt seemed to have the market cornered.

I would say google it and you will see why people are going to them. They are expensive, but from what I can tell are a much better helmet for the safety of the athlete.

I read up on them when NW started using them, and am pretty sold on the technology.

you would think that nike or reebok or under armour would buy VICIS.

Great product, but no company that's publicly traded is going to touch football helmets. The potential risk far outweighs the big picture small amount of profit to be gained.

I believe the Bearcats had them for the 2018 season.

While I'm happy to see technology improve the safety of contact sports like football, the ultimate safety of athletes resides in using proper technique and the enforcement of rules.

Yes, that is why they only wore the white helmets.

As long as we are talking about player safety- check out the Kato Collar, used to reduce concussions and neck injuries.
