The conference should immediately ask Lincoln if they want to take the year off and then just make that week a bye week on everyone's schedule.

I know that would basically be a voluntary death penalty for Lincoln football, but surely the idea has crossed the minds of plenty of people, including--and perhaps especially--those in Jeff City.

This is a financial move. Better to lose a few games than to lose entire sports programs or scholarships or have to fire people.

Football schedule coming tomorrow, other sports throughout the rest of the week. Looks like first game of the season will be on Saturday, Sept. 12. Here's the complete list of modifications: http://themiaa.com/documents/2020/6/...t1.pdf?id=1288

A reduction in postseason teams and alterations to regular season schedules are among a number of measures approved by the MIAA CEO Council on Monday.

So that clarifies that Lincoln will be playing and there won't be a revolving bye throughout the season. Conference won't be a true silo and SOS will vary. Here's hoping Pitt State's dropped team is one of the bottom feeders. I will be really fascinated by who everyone misses.

At first glance MW-LU, ESU-UNK, FH-MSSU, NSU-WU, PSU-UCO and NW-UCM are the games skipped/dropped in the shortened schedule

It is still a closed system. Still can't compare objectively to other conferences.

I imagine that everyone other than NW-UCM feels fine about this. I know I do.

                    Pittsburg State:
                    9/5 BYE
                    9/12 Missouri Southern
                    9/19 at Emporia State
                    9/26 Lincoln
                    10/3 at Northwest Missouri
                    10/10 at Nebraska Kearney
                    10/17 Fort Hays State
                    10/24 at Central Missouri
                    10/31 Missouri Western
                    11/7 at Northeastern State
                    11/14 Washburn

Not a home game worth watching until the middle of October.

MW is lucky as they don't have to play the Lincoln snoozefest.

Who knows, maybe MoSo will be better than last year?

                        Hopefully Pitt isn't any worse

As long as NW can go 10-0, I feel fine about it...if they drop a game, not so much...
