  • NWMS Picks up Transfer

Came across this report of Kent State R-Sr. RB Justin Rankin transferring down to NWMS for his final season. Pretty good get as he rushed for 574 yards and 4 TD's last season. Led team in rushing as a freshman & sophomore listed at 5-9 211lbs which is pretty good size to run in between the tackles.

            Re: NWMS Picks up Transfer

Northwest's run offense has not featured any one player for several years now. Whether it has been because of 'running back by committee' or injuries, who knows? I would like to see a four year 'pound the ground' player come up through the ranks. I think even Oman would agree that he did not get the ball as much as he wanted until he showed Mel that he was a 'team player.'

He sure didn't get the ball enough in the last game of 2006!
