It was a really entertaining game between the fifth place team in the MIAA and the fourth place team in the GAC. This was probably the best organized bowl game weekend ESU has been a part of. There seems to be a big community buy in from Texarkana. There were people meeting the teams when they arrived in town on Thursday, volunteers helping with feeding the teams at every meal, people helping out with the community service events, etc. The Friday night banquet and pep rally was really cool and packed with people. They did a great job.
You always want to make the playoffs, but if you don't I can't understand why a team would turn down a chance to play in a bowl game, especially this one? Unless football just doesn't really matter to you.

100% Agreed was a great weekend. We drove 10 hours got there just in time for the banquet Friday night. Game was a great battle. The town and the comittee took great care of the teams. Was a very enjoyable weekend.
