Pick'em Results - Final Standings

No upsets this week so 18 of us took honors for the week at 6-0. The only surprise to me this week was that 40% called Emporia to break a 28 game losing streak to Northwest.

Predatory Primates called Emporia and the other favorites and went 5-1. The two that were 3 games back last week didn't gain any ground as Humble Hornet also missed the Emporia game while PSR got that game right but missed on the CentralMO & Southern upsets and lost a game. As a result, Predatory Primates sets a new record winning by 3 games breaking the old record of 2 games set by GoCatsGo5 in 2016 & mowest57 in 2014.

Pred becomes our 27th different champion/co-champion. Next year he can attempt to become only our 2nd repeat champion and join Ichabod99 who was co-champ in 2005 and champion in 2006.

Nice job Randy. We appreciate the time, effort and dedication you have for MIAA football. I was at the Mules/Bronchos game Saturday and was impressed with how both teams, coaches and officials all interacted with each other in a very professional manner. Now if we could just need to get the adults in the crowd to all behave the way they should. Patience and goodwill are the methods to use when working with youth. They are more positive than criticism and rage. Thanks for being a positive force on the MIAA message board.

We moved, and I haven't built my shop yet, so I had more time to watch football than I usually do. Hopefully, I'll be too busy in my shop to be a threat next year.

Funky year for picks, as the season drastically changed after the first couple of weeks (especially for Hays and Western). Pitt just got better. NW hung on for dear life. Emporia and UNK finished just out of the PO's. The Centrals both finished better than predicted. Washburn lost it's QB. MoSo improved. NSU fell back and Lincoln suffered a long, dreadful season.
