Come on man...huge difference in program importance between Baseball and Football at NW. Loe never asks for anything and that's the main reason he's still around. Can't imagine influential donors will sit by and watch the football program go into the tank...they could easily force a change. Plus you have a new President that may not want to see the program slip too much under his watch.

For there to be a baseball coaching change at NW, that guy will have to either quit or die. Athletic Directors in d2 tend to be long on bull and short on balls.

Reminds me of the Mules basketball coaching situation that went on for years before the coach finally quit out of embarrassment.

If the trend is downwards, absolutely. Northwest is supposed to be a National Championship contender, not a playoff contender. You don't come to NW to be 7-4, you come for 11+ wins annually. Not a single coach or player would disagree.

He and his assistants do an outstanding job on recruiting, more importantly they develop their players.
They miss on some just like any program.

Always seems to have decent QB's and talented WR's. Between UCM and ESU, over the years, I've always enjoyed seeing how many WR's they get who can actually catch with their hands.

After 6 yrs Mel went from nothing to 2 Natties. After 6 yrs AD had 3 Natties. After 6 yrs RW did great by most team’s expectations but definitely not what NW has come to expect.

IMHO RW is a great DC who needs a great OC who’s a great Associate Head Coach.
