Lol. Those fans on FB are rubes then. Any hopes of NW sneaking into the playoffs after their first two loses officially died yesterday in Warrensburg. Northwest Missouri State is correct in saying that NW will likely not have any kind of postseason game this season. If they win out, which looks nearly impossible, they could maybe sneak into a bowl game. Not even sure the Mineral Water Bowl exists anymore. There are either one or two bowls at this point that MIAA teams are eligible for unless there is a new one this season that I haven’t heard of. Basketball season started in Maryville yesterday I’d say.

MWB was a Covid casualty. CHAMPS Heart of Texas bowl I think will sometimes invite a MIAA team if it still exists.

We all knew it was in the process of happening: poor recruiting at specialty positions, lack of player development and reliance on talent over coaching, poor or inconsistent execution on the field, and a coaching staff that didn’t seem to realize that the wheels were about to fall off until they have.

Is the program recoverable? It’s certainly possible; Pitt had their long-time struggles with Beck at the helm and are on the upswing after cleaning house. But it’s definitely going to take more than coach-speak and denial in the long run.

I agree... it would be foolish on his part. He doesn't have the immediate expectations to win big at UCO and the most likely result, which is anything less than winning titles, would mar his legacy at NW. AD left at the right time... He's only got one way to go here and it ain't up. It's the same reason why I'm surprised that McCollum is still here... I guess at least Ben isn't letting someone else knock it off the rails though.

Let's be honest. Bearcat Football Nation has been riding the magic carpet ride for what seems like forever. Year after year of domination and championships. What a hell of a run, just be grateful that you had the privilege to be part of it. I wish somebody would post the following:

- won / loss record beginning with Mel's first really good season thru the 2022 season.

- conference championships.

- playoff wins

- national championships

- national runner ups

Add it all up and it's staggering! Bearcat football fans are spoiled beyond belief. Welcome back to the real world, for now anyway.

I'll bite. It's possible to think there are some fundamental issues on the coaching staff while also being a fan of the program. Your repeated insinuation that anyone who doesn't drink the fanboi kool-aid isn't a "fan" is at this point growing old.

I've never said there isn't room for changes/improvement. I hope he figures out that the current OC, friend or not, isn't what the program needs and finds someone better to run the offense.

What I am upset at the "fans" that are currently pissing on him and want him canned now/or as soon as the damn season is over with....that's what I'm *****ing about....

RW should definitely stay on, but only as defensive coordinator. His sole attention should be to get the defense back to what they once were.
