At one point FH and the crowd celebrated because we thought we finally got a call late in the game for PI but it went the other way and then the sideline got one for not agreeing with the call.

I don't know about that. I watched on TV and saw many holds that weren't called on Hays.

Most people don't know what a hold is. Not saying that's you, but so many of people scream "HOLD," when its a legal blocking technique.

Rear naked choke is a legal technique in the MIAA.

Remember, you are absolutely allowed to grab the Dl as an OL(inside the chest frame). You can even wrap your arms around DL in certain circumstances(blocking a rip technique). You can't lay on a defender when they are down, you generally must let go if the defender gets separation to pull away.

They couldn’t have all been bad calls. I don’t feel bad for anyone, I know UCO has been hosed more than once by MIAA officiating. It is just part of this league. I always thought the officials were all from Missouri and are biased toward NW tbh.

how bout holding on to the back of the jersey? so far, 65 is probably the worst I've seen this season lol. he should have had 5 or so flags thrown on him alone. slow feet strong hands. got a pic of him holding on to the back number of mine while he was flushing heavner. i know...flags can be thrown on holding every play but these holds were VERY obvious to everyone and they weren't ticky tack holds. it was very apparent holding was going to be part of their strategy early on. they gambled on it and the refs let it go so they kept it rolling. they couldn't keep us out of the gaps and couldn't dig us out of the trench. the ONE flag they finally threw wasn't even the worst hold on that series lol.

with all that being said, we had a few go our way too. but they were right after they got us on something that was questionable. one was a clear WR pick down field that gave them a first off a 16 maybe 17 yard catch. a couple of zebras got together and waved off the flag. the very next play, we had a ball go to FH sidelines where the WR ended up on the ground with the ball over his head and the db scrambling to get to it...they threw a flag and got the wr (on the ground) for pass interference. later in the same quarter, they got us on a running into the kicker(even though the ball was hit) that was off set by a phantom block in the back. off setting fouls after about a 4 minute meeting. made them re-kick and it gave them substantially better field position than the previous kick. we were in an all out rush and the wall had about 5 people on them. no way we got pushed in the back. if i was FH coach, i would have tried to light them on fire.

anyway, we looked rough for the first 17 or so minutes but came alive after the half and squeaked out a win. ill take it.
