The only rule is UTPB has to go to Harding. No exceptions. I think Harding could rush for 800 yards.

Pitt's SOS will fall back a little the next couple of weeks, but get a boost in the last week, so I guess it's possible. I'm really hoping Pitt can tcb and not have to find out. Then again, I'm still waiting for Pitt t play a complete game at some point. Lol.

I really hope NW goes to Harding. The Pitt D and D staff seems like every time they face an option team is the first time.

I was noticing this as well. Gotta love relevant football in November!

            Therefore in SR4 Round 1:

            Pitt @ HU
            CSUP @ WC
            SAU @ NWMSU
            UTPB @ CWU
If this was the case, would they try to swap CSUP and UTPB within the region or with a SR3 opponent to minimize first round competition against a league opponent?

This is all "what if" and doesn't matter, but I'm just asking for the sake of argument since this is much more important than my TPS reports at work today.

Yeah. It makes me think I'll keep the flo subscription for a little while longer.

It’s possible. Like Whitt said on the D2.com Show last night, the Committee has not used out-of-region match ups to avoid flights unless it could avoid flights in future matchups. More often they’ve used conference rematches to eliminate flights.

                  Goods as well...

I think this is going to be difficult to do if both Central Washington and Western Colorado are seeded and hosting playoff games.

One option is to send Central Washington/Western Colorado (if they lose a game and are unseeded) to be sacrificed to Ferris State and then send a possible unseeded team back like Indianapolis (to Harding), Upper Iowa, Minnesota State, Augustana, etc. to SR4 thats within bus distance back and could possibly be in bus distance to another upper MIAA/RMAC school for second round.

I think Pitt State is the only team that can and possibly will make it with 3 losses.

It would definitely help if Chadron and Western Oregon loses 2 games (possible), Angelo State and Southern Arkansas (optional) to lose another game.

It would be interesting if they take a 3 loss Pitt State or a 2 loss UTPB since the numbers seem to favor Pitt State there at the end.

The more I think about it and analyze it, I can see this being the playoff matchups if no more upsets happen keeping with the 600 miles bus ride and no conference rematch line. East vs. West for the Regional Title.

                      Pitt State/Northwest Missouri @ 1) Harding
                      Southern Arkansas @ 4) Northwest Missouri/Pitt State
                      UTPB @ 3) Colorado-State Pueblo
Western Colorado @ 2) Central Washington

All I want to see is NW play and eliminate the posers with the HS offense. Again.

It's funny. The option was king. Then it was just run by coaches considered to be stuck in the past...... Present day, it has been the basis for the O of the last 4 or 5 NC teams, and it looks like the people making fun of it may be the ones stuck in the past.

I don’t think option concepts ever went away. Coaches I think were less open about it, or creative.
