C'mon dude. Those 2 Os are not remotely the same. One is a j-o-k joke when they face NW - 4 meetings, 11 total completed passes - 5 of those to the wrong team. Or the correct team depending on who you are rooting for.

Ferris has whooped NW in recent meetings. They can run or pass with equal efficiency.

Congrats on getting back to the playoffs. Been a long tough road.

It ain’t the offense. It’s the dudes running it and coaching it.

Guy sees the bearcats have a legit shot at the playoffs and win some games in a down year for MIAA and all the swagger came back…

I have to say that a$$ whooping y'all just put on the Lopers, fresh off their loss to Mo Southern, was impressive. Taxman's got a bill coming, with interest.

I like it. People had forgotten how NW fans are when they're winning. Others had started treating them like normal people. Now we can all hate them again.

Honestly, I just wish Pitt was good enough so we could be insufferable, too.

No kidding. Deep runs in the playoffs need to happen again, but D2 is a lot different than what it used to be when Pitt was going back to back and being a force.

Now I am really jealous. WT needs to get back to LSC prominence to resurrect those posters and we will have a full blown 20 year reunion D2 party and playoff games on KAMR.

Only 1of the 4 NW vs HU games were close. Kudos to HU was going for 2 in their 7-6 loss to NW. I remember hoping they’d go for the PAT right up to the point NW stopped them😎

What I have seen of modern day option offenses is it helps teams with inferior talent stay in games and beat better teams on good days.

In Texas high school I see it mostly from West Texas teams to try to slow down the big city East Texas teams that recruit and try to blow teams out with spread offenses. Wet Texas schools have smaller enrollments and not the number of elite skill players to compete in the playoffs.

Top D1 schools have elite defenses and can shut down those offenses easily for the most part.

Georgia Tech (past), Air Force, and Navy are exceptions to that on a game to game basis.

D2 schools like Harding and in the past (Carson Newman, Lenoir Rhyne, Eastern New Mexico, Pitt St., etc) the option is also a great tool to use offensively to win games since you have to be stingy on how you use your scholarships for defense.

lmao, you know we all heard this same thing prior to the 3 subsequent matchups after the first one...."it's different this time"....."really"...."we're serious"...."we've got talent on offense we've never had and you've never seen"....even went to the other side of the ball and said the same thing.....nope, same pig different colored lipstick.

                              And the congregation said amen.

Why do you think Pitt stoppped running the option many, many moons ago.
