Rainy dreary day in Joplin today, offense managed just 10 points in yet another 7 point loss, 19-12 (special teams unit added a safety on a punt block)....offense accounted for one field goal and one TD.. the rushing game might have been the difference in the game,,,,200 yards rushing from Mo West, to negative 12 yards from Mo Southern. Ouch. Both defenses played very well IMO. interesting ending, with 4:00 minutes left down by 7, the Lions elected to punt, rather than go for it on 4th down (needing 5 or more plus yards as I recall) . MO West eeked out a first down later in the drive and salted the game away. Road ahead doesn't get any easier. If the coaches can right this ship, and get the fellas to finish strong, they can still play for pride! Go MOSO. Shout out to Padillo who had a good day receiving over 100 yards on some big grabs. Lions used two Qb's today, the freshman and the senior.

MO West was the better team today. Wanted it more on the road. They left a few points on the board in the kicking game misses. Doinked one in in the second half though. Lions; play for yourselves, take this loss to heart, put it out of your minds, asap, dig as deep as you can, and bring a new fight these last few games. -
I think Southern has played near the top of what their talent will allow week after week.
