Pitt players know the score. I have heard several say that their sudden death playoffs started in week 2 after the final whistle in Edmond.

That said, I can see why someone might pick UCM here. Pitt always runs a soft zone against this type of O and then mixes in a little man when it gets critical. They were so scared of ZZs arm the last 2 years that they let him run all he wanted. Last year they got smoked. The year before they got behind and had to switch to UCMs own offensive scheme to get the win. The D staff has proven that they go safety mode against these teams to limit explosives, and don't shut them down, even in their better years.

Then again, Omolo isn't ZZ. So we'll see how it goes.

I picked UCM on our show for the game with Pitt..just as an upset shot for the show. Would I bet $$ on it, no..but I will take a chance on UCM since a year ago in a somewhat similar spot the Mules destroyed Pitt and couldn't do much wrong offensively. Now that was with ZZ..but the Mules are armed with that confidence from a season ago, at Pitt..and now the Gorillas have a bigger game looming a week from now that could create a trap scenario here for the players = inadvertently looking ahead to NW.

I don't know if this years UCM has it in them..but they played Pueblo close earlier in the year..however things have gone down for them a bit since then.

The Mules should have beat Pueblo. Omolo was benched in that game after three interceptions that turned the game. that was also before injuries have piled up at both receiver and running back. Omolo is a crap shoot. and who knows. They are a Jeykl and Hyde team. Horrible in the first half at Hays and good in the second. Horrible in the second half against the Gnats. 6 straight turnovers and 8 overall against Washburn.

They easily could be 6-3 with loses only to Delta State, Pueblo and Northwest, all looking like they will make the playoffs. So who knows. I just think that Pitt will stick to the run, control the clock and run over the mules.

Was wondering when this would come up. Was talking to a YCM Alum about this earlier in the week and he said the same thing. He also said hes excited to see DCRW defense in year 2 when he can get his type if players in.

History is being made at UCM this season. This is the first time a team has struggled after losing the best player in the nation (twice).

What did Lambo do at UNK I'LL tell you,Nothing he jumped ship when things didn't go his way. UCM good ole boys no longer at the school hired him Just saying. He was not prepared this year
