Important things to remember in the portal.

-Between 30-50% who enter, stay with their existing teams (varies across levels).
-People tend to stay, unless a scholarship is offered elsewhere.
-Entering portal allows a coach to pull a scholarship. Better be clear on your worth if you decide to shop around.
-Portal is full of players both overlooked, and players exposed. Not all transfers are upgrades.
-The window is only 2 weeks (Jan 2-16th) for winter. D1 playoff games will be real interesting if guys still playing, decide to enter.

    Probably why he's leaving.

According to Held on Twitter, 84 of the 93 players he met with after the season are coming back. That obviously can and will change a bit after the spring, but that's a very good sign for UNK. Retention was strong last year, too. Speaks to the culture being established and the buy-in from players.

That said, the updated list of those departing has some key contributors:

    DB Ife Current
    WR Jaden Jude
    DB Ja'Mareion Gipson
    DB Qualyn McQueen
    DB Saieed Hasan
    QB Daron Bryden
    WR Dae'vonn Hall
    WR Tyler Perry
    RB Jett Turner

Awe shucks. 13 years from now I’ll be 50. I could do that!

Better get after it. Jeff Hutcheon, who played b-ball at NW 1985-89, broke into the NFL just last year as line judge. He started officiating 13 years ago at the high school level in Colorado.

I just find them on Twitter when the players post they are transferring.

Your WR, Ashton Schumann, already announced he will be transferring.

24 weekends... for football? Or are you talking about hoops? They're doing 2 to 3 games a week in some cases.
Football. 3 Weeks of Preseason, 17 weeks of season(some may work all 18 weeks) 4 weeks of Playoffs if they work all of them , I don't think any do....
