Shorb will have year in the system and can't wait to see what he can do with almost the entire offense coming back. Some key positions to replace on defense but younger guys got some experience. Hopefully we can keep players entering the portal to a minimum. Lots to like about the future.

HC JMac definitely got alot of commits early in the season, but after the surprising success of this season, coach should already be drawing ALOT of attention in his direction. Hopefully, from some Elite players. McMenamin's energy, communication skills and ability to sell Bearcat Football will turn alot of heads. He will make a great impression on both the recruit and the player's parents.

It will be interesting to see how the early recruiting strat works out. I mean so far it looks pretty good if you see the SR seasons a lot of these guys had. They identified and went after players early. I think they wanted the bulk of their 26 kids done before the season. I even mentioned to coach Mac in August they had a lot of commits already and he said he felt like they were running behind....I think they had like 25 commits at that point...... I know they are most focused on the "Northwest Triangle" of KC, Des Moines, Omaha. They feel that is the lifeblood of the University.

Seems smart to get early commits. Now they can concentrate on the portal to fill holes and then get back on the recruiting trail.
