My thoughts
I thought the offense was going to run away with it the way it looked on the first few series. A couple turnovers switched momentum and the defense really settled in.

Owens is still fast. O line looked good. Outside of #8 we have to have some wideouts step up .

Defensively, like I said they settled in. The d backs looked really good. 42 Stockard stood out to me on the d line

Is it me or did our front seven defensively look smallish?

I think Shorb will be an upgrade from Ruhnke although the pick he threw straight to the defender while scrambling to the right brought back nightmares. Shorb needs reps. It's been awhile since he's been on the field in live competition. We won't sneak up on defenses this year with our 2 QB attack.

Last year was such an unexpected improvement being conference co-champs and getting to the playoffs (I really thought a 6-5 season last year would be a major win), I'm trying to temper my expectations this year.

Difficult to gauge what this team will be like based on intrasquad scrimmage.
