Serious question for the UCO folks. The last couple of commits UCO has had have no offers from other teams or just one or two from non MIAA non NSU directional OK schools. Are you concerned? Is AD funding diamonds everyone else is missing? Is he throwing numbers at it and hoping sime stick? Is he in panic mode? Is YCO losing recruiting battles to GAC, LSC and MIAA schools too often? Hey Pitt had a guy commit this week with no other offers but hes the exception not the rule.

Who TF even cares about HS recruits anymore? Half of these dudes you’re talking about won’t even make it 2 years with whatever program they signed with out of HS. It is the portal age now, transfers are all that matter. I’m not saying I like that but it is the reality of the CFB landscape in 2026.

D2 schools don't have the money or the scholarships available to live in the portal. Unless one of those two things changes High School commits will continue to be the foundation for D2.

Important to note that even though social media posts are the norm, there are still some players who don't post offers, etc....

I wouldn't read too much into "no other offers" just because it wasn't on X. It's not an exact science.

HS recruits definitely matter. Sure transfers are a necessity, but HS recruits are still the core in D2.

So while not 2027 commits. Pitt has 10 safeties and only 4 corners. We also have 7 TE's. Willing to talk trade.

                        1. Sleepers (I'm smarter than everyone)
                        2. Paper champs (measurables)
                        3. Odds of committing immediately
                        4. Transfer portal
                        5. HS production / Film

I thought it was a typo until I read the bio. He was decent in a backup role in 2023. Weird deal. Maybe he didn't grow as they anticipated or our current LB's are just better and he's enough of an athlete that they want to get him on the field somehow? Maybe OC MS wants to have a big guy who isn't a TE for those 3rd and 5 let's keep possession passes. Guess we will find out soon enough.
