CWU stadium renovation

Driving out of Seattle eastward this week on I-90, had to swing by CWU to see the stadium renovation. Wow, it's totally overhauled, natural grass field is gone as is a lot of other things. They're in the middle of the construction right now, but I think it's going to look great.

* As I was driving away, I saw the new restrooms. I almost stopped the car, hopped the fence, and high-fived the construction workers! :laugh:

Pretty significant what they're doing to Tomlinson and to the new track facility and that of course it's just down the road from the new dorm being built.

Excellent. I drove by Ellensburg last week heading back to Montana... should have stopped and taken a look see. Many great memories in that stadium.

Well, UNA can complain about the field being watered down that way. I see too many brown patches on the natural grass south of the field. Shows how dry it is out here right now.

The new stadium is great for CWU, the GNAC, and D2 football ... wondering if they'll play prep playoff games there, seems like a logical spot, especially with lights. Wish other D2 west region schools would make this investment, instead of dropping the sport. Great job, CWU.

I stopped by the field on my way back from the Mariners game (it stunk). Took a couple pictures, including one that will make Tim happy (bathroom renovations). The lights are all up already and they're leveling the field. The grey skies are from all the smoke, btw.
