  • Gardner, Thornton, Watson, Kitna on San Diego Fleet

There appears to be a new football league called the AAF. Tyler Thornton, Ja'quan Gardner, and Terrell Watson all are on the roster of San Diego https://aaf.com/san-diego-fleet/roster/

Also several UW alumni on the team including Bishop Sankey. Jon Kitna is listed as the team's offensive coordinator

There are three new leagues actually with the FFL and XFL too. Does that mean though Kitna is no longer teaching math in Tacoma? Also sad to see Watson off the Chargers roster.

Kitna hasn't been in Tacoma in years now. He was coaching in Texas the last few years and is now coaching in Arizona. Watson and Gardner on the same team now! They will have a lethal rushing game! I hope the Seattle XFL team will have some former CWU players

It looks like Thornton missed the cut, but Watson and Gardner are both on the active opening day roster! Dang is Watson really 240 lbs? https://aaf.com/its-go-time-roster-i...r-season-debut

Great opportunity for both of them to make a name for themselves.

You forgot Kitna likley not an OC now in this league as he's QB coach in Dallas. I see a Matt Kitna still on staff though. Great news about Watson and Gardner! Here's to Gardner using this to springboard into the NFL and stick it to the HSU administration!

I found an interesting article on the rules. No kickoffs, no extra points. OT's each team gets the ball at 10 and must score a touchdown in 4 downs and with no field goals It sounds like they are testing no kickers for the NFL.

In lieu of an onside kick, teams have the option of attempting to convert a 4th-and-12 from their own 28. Teams can only attempt this play in the final 5 minutes of the game, or if they are at trailing by at least 17 points. Should be interesting.

I was going to say Not-the-Watson was starting, but let's hope that they mention HSU's situation on this broadcast.

Gardner just had a great drive. Began with a 25 yard run. 40 yards for him in the drive. Unfortunately the QB threw a pick near the end zone

League got higher TV ratings than the NBA this weekend; saw a lot of people at the San Antonio home game.

104 yards and 2 TD for Gardner today! I am glad they used him more today.

That GNAC rushing attack is really humming along for San Diego. Gardner ran for 122 yards and a TD, while Watson added in 73 yards and a pair of 2-point conversions tonight in a 31-11 win.
