  • James Gaudino Stepping Down at CWU

Received an email today from CWU that James Gaudino will be stepping down from being president at CWU at the end of the next school year (July 31, 2021). Gaudino has done a lot for CWU, growing its campus and enrollment and has been a very strong supporter of CWU, finally managing to get their football field remodeled. Hopefully whomever they pick to replace him will continue to do so.

He has done great things to support athletics, helping with the stadium and recreation complex upgrades and keeping football thriving. Of course he caught some criticism from some hippy student activists for other things, but what president doesn't?

Can't be an activist if you don't have something to gripe about. Nobody is perfect, but I'd say he's done far more good for the school, especially given how we see Eastern going.

Here is the link I found: https://www.bizjournals.com/seattle/...act%20is%20up.

Pretty sure it was tongue in cheek.

CWU found a southerner for their next president. Jim Wohlpert, currently the dean at Florida Gulf Coast University will be the new president of CWU, earning a cool $400k. Being from the south, that's probably a good sign he'll support the football program.

Not sure how he'll do, glad you passed on Lisa Rossbacher or Humboldt and Bruce Shepherd of WWU, currently managing clown shows somewhere.

He has big shoes to fill. Gaudino really improved CWU's campus over his time there and brought enrollment up. CWU's campus beats EWU's by a mile.
