  • Tarleton to use TCU model in D1

I found it interesting that Reisman stated how much easier it is going to be to schedule opponents in D1 as opposed to D2.

I hope ACU and Tarleton wind up playing each other regularly.

ImI hoping that we somehow wind up in the same conference. If not, have to schedule the Housecats. Too close and the rivalry has been dormant for too long.

Southland teams will have more schedule flexibility when the Southland switches from a nine to an eight game conference schedule in 2021, I think. With a 9 game schedule we only have 2 OOC games most years and almost every team uses one of those options to schedule a money game vs a FBS team. After the switch in scheduling we will have two FCS openings per year every year, 3 in the occasional year when we can play 12 games.

Travel costs will be very high for non revenue sports so you will see Tarleton take a lot of paycheck games. From top end d1 schools and from bottom feeders who need garuntee win. Whether that evens out or not who knows but it will be a tough go without getting into Southland or other fcs conf. I wish them luck no matter what happens .

                        All very true.

Had UNM kept Rocky Long they would be a very good program now. Was the stupidest thing ever pushing him out.
