I don't really follow baseball....but, did WT suffer injuries or something? I see they dropped 4 of their last 5 games, the latest a 11-14 loss to St.Edward's at home.

    Any info??

No shame in that on the road but looks like that make their chances super slim winning the LSC regular conference title. Should be a fun LSC tournament.

Great weekend for WT. The Buffs took 3 of 4 from ASU. A split would have been good against them. Game 1 was a pitchers duel that Buffs won 2-0. They hit 7 HRs over the next 3 games. These guys can hit the baseball. Buffs are in 1st place in LSC at 28-8. Face TAMUI at home Thursday, Friday & Saturday.

The Buffs are allowing 4.97 runs per game (not ERA, but total runs allowed avg.), so it's not really too far off the mark.

LCU is averaging 8 runs scored per game, so you kept under their average.

The Buffs are a good hitting team and can score a lot of runs, but the hitters need some help. WT travels to ASU this weekend. If pitching doesn't improve, it might be a tough road trip.
Were you a Math Major at WT? :-) 22 divided by 4 is 5.50. That is less than 7 runs per game.

No doubt about it. Toughest part of schedule is coming up. It will be a challenge for the Buffs as well as the other front runners.

Buffs haven't really played much of anyone yet. They will be facing the better teams now. We will see how good they are. Can they prove themselves?? We'll see.

Game time for the Buffs DH is 4 pm. A bonus is the opportunity to watch the outstanding WT track teams before the baseball game.
The West Texas A&M track & field programs will wait an extra day to open their 2022 outdoor campaign with a schedule change made to the WT Spring Break Classic.

The home meet was originally scheduled for Friday, March 18 has been moved back a day and will now be hosted on Saturday, March 19 at the WTAMU Track & Field Complex in Canyon starting at noon.

Buffs take 3 of 4 from UAFS. Overall 19-3, LSC 17-3 and leading the conference. Hitting the ball very well, but relief pitching is a concern. Coach V is trying a lot of different guys to find some consistency. Face Oklahoma Christian at home next weekend. Go Buffs!

Buffs split with UT-Tyler this weekend . Buffs scored 41 runs but gave up 41. ERAs soared. Pitching needs to improve. Buffs are 16-2 overall and 14-2 in LSC.
