Remember when YOU had the same doctor for 20+ years, who knew your complete history upside down and knew YOU, and your family personally?

Remember when docs were allowed to w/o your medical bills because they knew your situation and could have compassion? Or set you up to.pay a dollar a month. Remember when you could wipeout a patients bill as a "hard luck" or "charity" write-off??

Remember when County hospitals & Catholic hospitals gave 100% free service without the need for medicaid. They had clinics where every doc would volunteer clinic hours. Where PEOPLE cared for PEOPLE. It didn't matter if you were completely broke.....you STILL got the best docs and the best, compassionate care.

I REMEMBER those days well. When your doctor could practice GOOD medicine based on an OATH.....not BS outcome voodoo medicine based on cost per capita instead of proper care.

No sir, I assure you medicine STARTED its decline with HMOs & PPOs. But the horrific changes began with the Affordable Care Act. THANK GOD I am in this industry and therefore know HOW to get the care I need. For the average person, they are getting the WORST healthcare known in modern day American history.

I can personally fix healthcare in less than 6 months AND EVERYONE would receive the BEST medicine possible.....AND the insurance industry would hit better profits.....and it would save the federal government billions. I have the FULL PLAN. The simplicity is mind blowing.

The worst part is getting a POLITICIAN to READ it or even listen to a presentation.

THIS is why I DESPISE political parties.....left or right....they BOTH have an agenda.....and neither care about THE PEOPLE.

One thing President Trump has 100% right....."Washington" IS a Swamp......and that Swamp needs to be drained. Wish someone COULD do it without POLITICAL GAMES, INVESTIGATIONS, AND STALL TACTICS.

Until then.......I and ALL healthcare professionals will either FIGHT the system, sellout to the system, or quit! Thus far, many have quit or sold out. FEW are willing to fight the system for BEST PATIENT CARE.

Stay safe & healthy my friend.
Obamacare was always going to be garbage. Sneaky snake politicians had a plan going in. That plan was that working class and middle class Americans that worked for companies that did not offer health plans would be forced on to Obamacare. Why? Because they would pay the astronomical premiums every month as to not risk their family not being protected. Family of four was around $2500 a month for a low grade copper HMO last time I looked with deductibles at $5k or more. This was so that not only were they paying for their insurance they were also paying for others insurance who either were on welfare or at the poverty line. That is why you HAVE to tell them your income before you can enroll. Disgusting at best. H3ll, pay the penalty its cheaper. Not one doctor or hospital within 50 miles would take the crap.

Pops, you are spot on. I remember everything you said about the healthcare used to be run. I remember this old country doctor we used for years. Wasn't the friendly guy but definitely got the job done. I remember having an extreme inner ear infection from a chlorine pool and the medicine an ENT had not helped and my ear was bad I couldn't sleep at night and was painful just to touch it. My mother told me to go see the family doctor which the pain made the decision for me. First thing he did was grab my ear and start pulling on it and I screamed and he called me a P***y. Then he jammed something into my ear that looked like a cigarette butt and put medicine in my ear and said the infection would be gone in two days. I had the infection for two weeks so I was skeptical. In two days it was gone.

Another time I was in his office and someone brought in a baby with 105 degree fever. He told one of his nurses to make an ice bath to get the fever down while he went to get some medicine. He returned in a couple of minutes and the baby was still sitting in the mothers lap and he asked the nurse what was going on. She said she didn't know if it was a good idea to make the ice bath. He fired her in front of everyone and told another nurse to make the ice bath. The hospital later told them he saved the baby's life getting the fever down and prevented serious brain damage.

If the Obama or any of those cronies cared about Americans having decent health care we would be on the same health care system they enjoy in DC.

I agree. I was on Obamacare a couple of years ago when I had an allergic reaction to a wasp sting. 911 was called, I was taken to the hospital - the only hospital that took Obamacare in the area. It was a dump, and has since closed down except for their ER. The company that supplied the paramedics and ambulance, for a 1.2 mile ride, charged $2500. Obamacare considered them out of network, and paid $0. The hospital charged another $2500 for lying around in their ER for an hour, that price was after the "discount". So, $5K out of pocket thanks to the "AFFORDABLE care act". Did I like my previous doctor? Sure, but I couldn't keep my doctor. Did I like my previous plan? Sure, but Obama outlawed it because it had too big of a deductible. Of course it wasn't long until the Obamacare premiums and deductibles were higher than my former plan, except instead of my previous plan's top quality PPO I was limited to an HMO, with crappy doctors and the crappy hospital. If you want to get a good healthcare system, put Congress on Obamacare. While you are at it, put Obama on it too. Thankfully I am off that crap now.

The distillery I'm involved with has pivoted to making hand sanitizer for local hospitals, this is going on around the country. How quickly the flaws in our healthcare system were exposed. Hopefully we can learn some lessons from this and emerge stronger than we were.

Sure, some get D1 offers, but that would still leave a lot of players that either give up football or maybe head to D2 schools out of state. Central Missouri used to recruit three or four California JUCO kids each year, but not so much anymore.
After 2/3 years of JUCO if they don't get D1 offers they will filter out to D3, D2, NAIA but most will be done with football.

Azusa (Private school) moved over from NAIA when the writing was on the wall that NAIA football would not survive in Cali. The JUCO system benefited greatly from it because kids mostly think they are D1 athletes and it kept their dream alive by going in state JUCO and maybe getting that D1 offer. With all those kids not having D2 football it made Cali JUCO robust. There are so many JUCO football teams that they solely play other JUCO's within Cali and no other states. So.... basically the football player numbers are similar in Cali, they just shifted from almost all D2 schools to JUCO.
