And this is VIROLOGY not accounting. "Numbers" are absolutely irrelevant. I apologize to all the CPA's who believe life revolves around accounting. IT DOESN'T. But, it DOES around SCIENCE. And THAT is s fact.

    PLEASE bro, just STOP!!!

The ignorance is BEYOND humorous at this point.

My numbers come from your state department of health and human services. They could be lying I suppose. Here are their numbers as of today, July 7, 2020:

Total staffed hospital beds in Texas: 55,256
Total number of current COVID-related hospitalizations: 8181
Percentage of occupied hospital beds that are COVID: 14.8%
    Total reported COVID-positive cases: 200,557
CDC estimated total COVID cases: 2,005,570 (10X reported)
Total COVID fatalities to date: 2,655
Fatality rate of reported COVID cases: 1.3%
Fatality rate of CDC estimated cases: .13%

Its the same ole story with the corona fear porn peddlers either believe what I believe is important and necessary or your a selfish idiot.

is it 15% or is it more in ICU?

Address the rest of his case in which he used factual data to present his argument. Dont be lazy. Otherwise your just another voice crying 2 WEEKS JUST WAIT 2 WEEKS AND THE SKY WILL FALL!!

I've been waiting 2 weeks for months now and all I've seen is people starting to lose houses, businesses, marriages, one little boy in Hobbs NM committed suicide. The ABQ journal published a front page article today talking about all the people that have died from suicide and neglect because of the quarantine.

Another friend works in lubbick at the childrens hospital has said they are seeing an alarming number of abuse injuries more so thsn normal, and only 2 covid patients, neither symptomatic, one was a infant born to a mom asymptomatic with covid.

We are not tin foil hat wearing crazies, we are people genuinely concerned that our government is acting more out of a sense of CYA than actual concern for citizens, and they sure as hell aren't caring about letting us live our lives how we want, if we want to take the risk then its OUR CHOICE. And if you think some dude breathing into a cut off t shirt mask all day is going to keep you from getting the covid i have a bridge to sell.

The longer that guy wears that mask the wetter and more concentrated all his stuff gets on it, then when he sneezes or yells guess what....it just sprays out....trust me I know. I used to wear a nomex hood at work at nights when it was cold, they worked for about an hour, after that they just got wet around the mouth and nose, we would have to take them off and put them on the heater to dry when we came in out of the cold. Those hoods are thicker than those cloth masks or bandanas, or even the disposable masks people are getting now. He's not stopping anything he's just "loading up"

OMG....seriously?? I JUST stated that you are getting your information off the INTERNET. I KNOW what is being published on PUBLIC INTERNET sites. LMAO. I know how Texas REPUBLICANS are giving ORDERS to dummy down the TRUTH and how Texas DEMOCRATS are trying push back and inflate the TRUTH. As I said I am apolitical. I just despise FAKE news and INACCURATE information. all it does is muddy up the TRUTH.

I bet you probably believe the "numbers", "reports", and "stories" given to the public by our government and media about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan vs the TRUTH coming from the front-line troops and battlefield command. SMDH.

Listen bro.....you just do you. Read whatever you read, listen to whatever you listen to, and carry on however you wish to carry on.

If you wish to respond and get the last word.....knock yourself out.
        ???????
Stay healthy, stay safe, and stay well.

        Have a GREAT day.

Apparently so, and unlike the crazies on the internet that are saying this is caused by 5g or something with no real proof given, Pops wants us to believe this is way worse than is being reported, with no real proof given except, " trust me, I'm in the frontlines."
I have fat thumbs sorry for typos!

If you can't trust a state's dept of health to put out good data, that's a problem. What a shame.

The good news is that the fatality ratio-to-reported cases in Texas continues to fall - now down to 1.27% of reported cases. Very similar to here in AR. Given CDC's guidance of 10X the cases - actual to reported - the fatality rate is in the .127% range. The bad news is hospitalizations continue to rise. The good news is that even with the surge, COVID is only 16% of occupied hospital beds. We should see a peak and then a steady decline soon.

When figuring out the actual death rate of disease, you don't divide number of deaths by total cases. You divide number of deaths by number of outcomes.

So, as of noon today, Texas has 241k cases. 118,326 recovered; 3,026 died; TOTAL OUTCOMES 121,372.

You divide deaths by total outcomes, giving a 2.51% death rate.

The US coronavirus death rate is 52 times higher than the flu. So far.

*(deaths & recovered cases are only based on those reported as COVID-19 related. not all cases are reported and not all deaths are reported as COVID-19)
