The WACky road has been a bumpy one since the schools with football programs left, but the WAC survived somehow. Kudos to them!

The WAC is at a crossroads. On the one hand, if one or two more schools jump ship they are done as a conference. On the other, if their latest gambit to bring back football works they could emerge as solid possible two bid mid-tier basketball and solid FCS at least for now) conference.

aren't you the one that said Oklahoma State was staying up at night worrying about UCO moving to FCS?

Sorry. you lost me on that one.

                      From Matt Brown:

Hearing that the WAC's official additions of Southern Utah, Sam Houston State, Lamar, Abilene Christian and Stephen F Austin will be finalized in the next two-ish weeks.

WACtion sounds like a porn site.

Yep heard same thing. They left incarnate word out on purpose.

Plus the rumors of three from three seperate conferences jumping ship to asun was also mentioned.

Southland could be dead in the water as a football conference unless they start adding. Question do they go west or east

Not exactly what I said. I still believe osu will put the screws to uco if they try and go up by digging into thier donation base to do it.

I also believe that this is wtamu ticket up to fcs one conference or another

I agree sfa and lamar it's a good move

The real surprise is sam houston state. Why would they need to go they are in a good spot unless they see something coming .

I wonder if they think this could spring them up to fbs
Abilene it's a easier path to winning as well as for suu. Surprised nau didnt jump ship too
