jk.. The first game was the McNeese game with freezing temperatures. Lots of folks disguised as empty seats. Not a terrible turnout for yesterday's game against Dixie considering capacity limitations and social distancing.
You are right. I find McNeese state forgettable so yes, that was the first home D1 game for Tarleton. Less than 1400 showed for that game, but it was very cold. The weather wasn't bad yesterday for the 1,121 fans.

I would be worried if NMSU wasnt 25+ wins the previous years with the turds in that conference. They made the SOuthland look like the Missouri Valley. Not sure what happened to them this year but have a feeling Stephen F. Austin, Sam Houston State, ACU, and Grand Canyon will be the new basketball powers now.

Tarleton's winning streak stopped at 1 in fabulous D1 play! Fellow first year D1 Dixie State beat them rather handily 26-14. One of the Texans' scores was from a kickoff return. Tarleton fans were so excited about their first D1 home game that over 1100 showed up!

While I am not a fan of predicting scores from common opponents, I think it's pretty safe to say New Mexico State's season record will NOT improve when they face Dixie State.
        HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Love your humor!

NMSU will finish their spring season "defeated" after they play Dixie. They'll also debut as #1 on ESPN's bottom 10 come August.
