Checked out the last 3 years. Not really impressive but Regis hasn't been great either. Time will tell.

In my opinion, it is definitely a step back from the previous guy, but I would think that having a coach leave a couple of weeks prior to the season beginning takes a toll on the candidate pool. We shall see.

Conger was a Tarleton grad and had D1 experience as a pitching coach. He did a great job at Tarleton but it wasn't immediately. Bringing someone in with previous D2 Head Coaching experience and especially in the region is huge IMO.

You may be right, but Conger had Tarleton in a competitive position, will be interesting to see what the squad looks like next season.

Assistant coach job for former Cleveland Indians manager Wedge now current Wichita State HC. Wichita State was a top baseball program in the eighties and nineties.
