He made a logical coaching move, especially financially. An extra after tax $210,000 invested at 10% will be @$1,500,000 in 20 years.

Also Texas has no state income tax so another win. This isnt even a debate. You take this job 100 out of 100 times. He hit his ceiling at Valdosta and the job would have been more difficult this year with the transfer portal flux. All things being equal he has more opportunities with the portal to build quickly and show what he's got.

Clearly he wants to move up the coaching hierarchy, he did enough at Mesa to move on, and enough at Valdosta to do the same. Good for him.

One would have to be an absolute fool to turn down the opportunity and the money it comes with. To think it's not an upgrade is wild. Say he's there 3 years, that's experience at that level plus an extra $300k of income. Sounds like an easy choice.
