Any news on the new OC? There is nothing on WT's website.

We also need a new DC ! The D gave up nearly 31 points per game last year. They got worse as the season went on giving up 48, 42, and 44 to Kingsville, MSU, and Angelo, respectively. Don't forget about the 52 to CWU and the 45 to Western Colorado.

Don't forget special teams! We could use a coach that knows what place kickers are for.

Why not just get a new head coach while we are at it?

Is WT fully funded at 36 scholarships or not?

I keep hearing back and forth its under that number.

Maybe I am off on my logic but if WT is not fully funded then it would make sense that WT doesnt have the NIL around to compete with other LSC schools that are.

I listened to a podcast by Lance Lanhert today with Josh Lynn as the guest. A good hour of question and answer. The topic of NIL and transfer portal came up. In all the discussion Lynn confirmed that WT is fully funded at 36 scholarships. Around 30 players from WT in the portal with about 10ish going to be making the move up and getting an NIL payday.

A New Head Coach.....

Lipinski Would probably bring in a Michigan Guy like Sherrone Moore. I heard he is looking for a new school .........LOL

I will obviously say that Lynn earned an extra year with that 8-4 record and getting over the Western Oregon and Angelo State (injuries) hump.

I will also say he needs to build on that especially since Central Washington and UTPB are having turnover on coaches and players or he may be next.

What will be better this season? The defense? Will the offense be as good? Maybe if we find another very good OC and another QB like Martinez. Will that happen? No. Do you think we will have a reliable place kicking game?

I think we will beat Sul Ross and WNMU for sure, the rest of the schedule is questionable, though MSU and Kingsville should provide at least 1 more win.

I'm thinking a 1-3 start, then 3-4 wins in October, but none in November.

I am definitely excited about this pick up too.

Watch his 2024 playoff games against Stephenville and Celina who consistently win state and have very good defenses.

If he plays to his potential, he won't be at WT long.

West Plains running back Slade Russell will get some interest as well in a couple of years.
