UTPB relieves Carrigan of his duties

Just read that UTPB let go Carrigan. That’s two coaches let go so far. Anyone else?

The Texas Football article made it seem that it was Carrigan's idea to leave UTPB not the other way around. That job seems like a nightmare

It is not a good situation. Community support sucks big time. The main buildings look like old East German apartment buildings. The fantastic field house is stuck over in a back corner of the campus behind those ugly block buildings. Most playing fields (soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball and softball) are Jr High at best, They promise a new sports arena every year but nothing happens. UTPB is a real good school for academics but not athletics. I think Justin has done a good job with what he has to work with.



Did I mention that the nicest academic buildings they have, engineering and performing arts, are 15 miles from the main campus. Bet that really inspires a prospective athlete that wants to major in engineering or drama.

That does sound awful. I thought the coach acted inappropriately during games with WT.

Maybe they will hire Hughes. He can get their GPAs up at least.
