The former o line coach at Asu now at Tennessee St is strengthening his resume really nice huh! I just hope not to many others follow ( fingers crossed!
My boy played at Angelo with A-Lew. Great guy! Coaching under Eddie George should be interesting.

    • Excited about this. QB with a ton of upside. Good arm and home run speed.

      • Man, watching all the D2 and FCS players hitting the portal to go to FBS reminds me of following a double AA baseball team.

Enjoy the players while you can until they reach the "majors".

I don’t think that it is anything particularly going on at ASU. Instead it is the modern day price you pay for success in D2.

The team has a very successful year and several of the very good players on that team want to test the waters at moving up to either FCS or FBS schools. It starts as a trickle with one and then builds. I think that is what is happening.

Unfortunately this is the new reality.

Jake Long, Tre Colbert, Ron Allman, and Nate, all should get decent offers at the next level (FCS) or higher (FBS).

Not a lot different than last year. Think we had four enter the transfer portal last year.

I agree with them getting good fcs and fbs offers. Nate has a young brother that played at Idaho State and now I see he has transferred to Tarelton St., Jake Long looking at Patrick Willis now at TCU, Ron Allman has been one of the best LB in D2 the last 3 yrs ( If you can watch the 1st Covid game 2020 against WTU. ) and TreDarius Colbert has started since his true freshman yr. The reason I say "whats going on is you losing the best players at each each position and each side of the ball. and will 3 out of the 4 have 1 yr left. You have no room for a mistake in the school you choose. But I understand this is the new norm. on the other hand There should be some good transfers wanting to fill those spots. I have heard nothing but good this about these kids so these transfers are on good terms. Dont forget if you can get a fbs offer that will pay %100 of you school or get more money at a fcs school, then you looking that a win. I 36 scholis max at a D2 can only be spread so thin.

@Angelo Fan. I will agree and disagree with you. Yeah the lost about the same amount last yr. besides patrick I heard the rest didnt even play this past yr. The portal can be humbling for some players not getting the offers they thought they would get.

                          This comment 100%.

ASU is like double AA college football the same way as the Midland Rockhounds are double AA baseball.

They are going to be the farm system for FCS and FBS same way as other school will be.
